Daughter of Empire
Vanity Fair runs a fascinating and occasionally hilarious article on Lord Mountbatten's daughters Patricia, 89, and Pamela, 84, as the
latter publishes her memoir Daughter of Empire which looks like
essential reading. Not many other living people can tell stories of
historical figures they knew ranging from Queen Mary and Wallis Simpson
to Gandhi and Nehru.
