Beatrix to Abdicate
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands has just announced in a televised address to the nation that she will abdicate on 30 April, making her reign exactly 33 years. Congratulations Your Majesty on exemplary
service to your country and people. And good luck to the future Willem
IV, who will become the first King of the Netherlands since 1890.
